“Did you know there is a feature in Microsoft Word that can help you improve your writing?” - Judy M. Baker
Introduction:
There is a great tool in Microsoft Word called Read Aloud, but you may not have ever heard that or know that it exists, but I'm gonna show you just where to find it in your Microsoft Word Toolbar.
If you go to Review in your menu bar, which is what I just did, then you can see here is Read Aloud. And so let's give it a try so that you can see exactly what happens,
"Guide to a good night's sleep, how to turn off your brain and wake up rest rested and rejuvenated. Read on to discover what I suggest to my clients who are searching for deep rest, fell asleep. You can manifest sleep using easy self-help."
0:54 Now, there are some things you can do to customize your experience. Checking on the Gear Box. You can change the reading speed and you can also change the voice selection. Now, there's not a whole bunch of voices in here.
1:11 The reason I am suggesting that you use the Read Aloud feature is sometimes when we're writing it sounds fabulous. We stick it on paper and then if you hear it read, you'll catch nuances.
1:31 Now, obviously, it's not gonna pronounce everything perfectly, but it will give you an idea of how someone else might perceive what you've written and insights, especially if you're going to turn your article into a podcast or into a video or a training document, you'll find just what you need to know and improve your writing.
